A Sunrise Engagement! (Whitney & Eric)

Spring 2013

Nothing better than meeting a couple of great friends for an engagement shoot and everything simply going your way! Eric, Whitney and their golden pup Murray pulled up right when the sunrise happened to be showing off it's best in the form of a soft, early-morning, orange light that couldn't be recreated if we tried. The beautiful sunrise was also accompanied by some just right temps and a light layer of dew atop the grass, both enhancing the outcome of our photos in just the right way.

After snagging some pretty magical shots with the sunrise, we ventured around the park a little more, making stops at a couple park benches, pond-side spots, and angles with the city skyline in the background. Murray stayed in the car after his shining moments with the sunrise were over, but Whitney and Eric continued to be great subjects that anyone around them could just feel the love. These two were perfect at just relaxing and being their natural selves during our shoot. I think it really comes through in these photos as I'm really excited to share this shoot on the blog! Thanks Whitney & Eric!

Engagement in the Park! (Carleigh & Parker)

Fall 2012

So we decided to do an early morning (7am!) engagement photo session at Peidmont Park and nearly adjacent Ansley Park and sure enough we got some great light to work with in both settings. Working with such a cool and fun couple as Carleigh and Parker is always a blast anyway and when combined with a perfect morning like we had then you get results like the photos below. Very much looking forward to shooting/attending their wedding next!

Live at the Georgia Theatre: Bobby & Sarah's Wedding Proposal!

Summer 2012

I arrived at about 930am on this particular sunday morning in order to find the best angles and just get familiar with the downtown surroundings.  The scheduled time was 10:15 a.m. so this left me about 45 min to scope out downtown athens during some of it's calmest hours.  I have to say there isn't any place quite like downtown Athens, GA. All the cool old store fronts and huge old trees lining the streets. During that time I also watched the shadows perfectly dissappear from the marquee right as the arrival time neared for Bobby and Sarah.

As the couple rounded the corner the whole intersection was instantly filled with their joyous surprise and excitment. Even a few students that happened to be walking by gave their congratulatories.  Needless to say Sarah said "yes" as they enjoyed each other, the moment and each marveled a little in Bobby's genius Georgia Theatre marquee proposal!  Here are a few photos from that summer sunday moring in Athens.
