I've recently been working with and studying under atlanta-based veteran studio and wedding photographer Michael Stothard.  We've mostly been working on head shots combined with natural light both inside the studio, through a large window, as well as the great outdoors.  It didn't take long to have me convinced that natural light can produce some pretty amazing photographs!  Here is a couple examples below.
